Ground School and Flight Instruction
Currently, HarborSite International provides Rotorcraft Ground School and Flight Instruction in accordance with all FAA regulations. All our instructors are CFI’s and/or CFII rated pilots with thousands of hours of flight time in commercial, military, and private aircraft.
Director of Aviation Operations/Chief Pilot Scot A. Smith, served in the U.S. Military for 8 years and then became a Federal Agent with the US Department of Homeland Security (TSA). Additionally, he also is currently assigned to the Delaware National Guards Medical Evacuation Detachment. He worked for Spitfire Aerospace in their commercial division for more than 7 years as their Assistant Chief Pilot and is the founder and former President of Liberty Aviation. He holds a FAA Commercial Rotorcraft Pilots License and an FAA second Class Medical Certificate.
Scot’s flight record is unblemished and has never had any sanctions or safety violations in his career. He is a certified Flight Instructor and has completed all the requirements for his Instrument Flight Ratings as well. His experience as a commercial pilot includes power and pipe-line patrols, aerial photography, electronic news gathering, and volunteer missions in support of both local and federal law enforcement and search and rescue operations.
