Witness Statements

Written and recorded witness statements can make or break a case. In many cases, a witness’ recall of events can be drastically different from what they may have heard or seen months or even years earlier. The differences in what people say initially and what they says later down the road can be affected by poor memory, outside influences that attempt to get the witness to change their stories and much, much, more.
The need for conducting timely interviews and documenting the extent of the witness’ knowledge of events are crucial to success both in and out of the courtroom. In most cases it is desirable to have these interviews documented by either videotape, audio or in written format or a combination of all three.
