Basic S.W.A.T. Training

This five day course is designed for new team members assigned to SWAT. This course will introduce students to the rules, principles and fundamentals of Initiative Based Tactics. The focus of this course is on Interior Tactics.

  • Safety
  • IBT
  • Breach Points
  • Door procedures
  • Deployment of Diversionary Devices
  • Small and large rooms
  • Hallway Navigation
  • Adjoining rooms
  • T, L and U shape rooms
  • Window Entries
  • Stairs
  • Consolidation Procedures
Equipment: 1500 rounds of primary weapon ammo, 500 rounds of secondary weapon ammo. Frangible ammunition must be used for primary weapon.

Gear: Clear wrap around eye protection, ear protection, and primary weapon with three magazines, primary weapon sling, secondary weapon with three magazines, magazines pouches, belt, holster, ballistic vest with plates, helmet, gloves, gas mask, and flashlight.
